Making Futures Style and Submission Guide:
Please type all text as a Microsoft Word double-spaced manuscript in Times New Roman. Word counts should ideally be between 3,000 and a top limit of 7,000 words, including captions and endnotes.
Head your manuscript with its title on a single line. Below the title on a separate line list each named author and (if relevant) current affiliations. Pages should be numbered consecutively.
References, citations and notes should appear as endnotes, numbered consecutively, with corresponding numbers in the manuscript text. When formatting references and citations use the Harvard Reference System. For more details refer to the examples in the ‘Detailed Style Guide for Authors’ below.
All images – graphics and photographs – should be supplied digitally and will need to be uploaded to the online submission form separately using the submission form below.
Additionally, please embed any images into your main Microsoft Word manuscript at appropriate points in the text. This will be used to ensure correct placement and captions of your images.
All your images should ideally be sized to approximately 3X3” as a series of numbered TIFF or EPS high-resolution 350 dpi files. Images that are too large for email can be submitted via a public domain service with email notification to:firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: Images you submit to Making Futures are received and used on the understanding that you are entirely responsible for any necessary permissions and that you have secured these before submitting. It is therefore your responsibility to obtain and provide permissions for any images for which you do not hold rights.
